  2. Quick & Dirty File Manager for Win95 v1.4

  5.     QNDFM95 is a 32-bit Windows program to do common file tasks from 
  6.     within Windows 95. 
  7.  
  8.     This program will only run under Windows 95, and NT.    
  9.

  11. Buttons
  12. =======
  13.  
  14.     "\"       - Shortcut to change directory to "root". (ex. c:\)
  15.     ".."   - Shortcut to change directory up 1 level.
  16.     "*.*"  - Shortcut to tag all files in the current panel.
  17.     
  18.     Refresh- Will refresh all panels on form.    
  19.     Copy   - This button copies selected file(s)/directories to other fixed 
  20.              window.  The program will ask you to overwrite files also.
  21.     Delete - This button deletes selected file(s)/directories.  If you have a 
  22.              directory selected, it will delete that directory, and everything
  23.              in it!  When you delete files they will go in the Recycle Bin.
  24.              If you hit the "del" key instead of the "Delete" button, all files
  25.              will be deleted WITHOUT placing them in the Recycle Bin!
  26.     Move   - This button moves selected file(s)/directories to other fixed 
  27.              window.  It will also rename a file if both panels are on the same 
  28.              directory.
  29.     Mkdir  - This button makes a directory in the current window.
  30.     Edit   - This button will run "notepad" on the 1st selected file.

  33. Pull Down Menus

  36.     -Commands:
  37.         
  38.             Find File         - Just put in the starting directory,and a pattern.
  39.             File Attributes - Select 1 file, then use this to view and/or
  40.                               change any file attribute.
  41.             ZIP Files         - Select 1 or more files, and use this to compact 
  42.                               all those files into 1 ZIP file.  To ZIP 
  43.                               a directory, just select the directory.        
  44.             Disk Info         - Will show disk information on selected disk.

  48.     -Show: (options to view different types of files)

  51.     -Settings: This is where you define your ZIP and UNZIP program name.
  52.               If its in yyour path, just put the filename.
  53.               
  54.     -Register: This is used to register the program.  Just email me at
  55.               "rzino@abraxis.com".  Once registered, I will send you back
  56.               the 5 digit code to register QNDFM.  All random nag screens
  57.               will be removed.

  62. NOTE: Always notice the "current directory" entry.  This is always the
  63.       directory where qndfm95 is pointing to.  Also that it will not
  64.       ask you "if you are sure" for ANYTHING.  So be careful.

  66. The DOS Command dialog is where you can run any dos program in your PATH.
  67.  
  68. Selecting multiple files is done by holding down the "ctrl" key while selecting
  69. any new files.  To select a range of files select the 1st one, then hold down
  70. "shift" and then click on the last file, and all the files inbetween will be
  71. selected.  Or just click on the 1st, and drag down to the last and release.

  73. You can also double click on any file and if Win95 knows what is associated
  74. with it, it will run it.  If it has any of these extensions, it will just
  75. run it. (.EXE, .COM, and .BAT)

  77. If you double click on a .ZIP file, it will attempt to unpack it in the other 
  78. window directory.  Make sure user defined zip and unzip programs are in
  79. your path!

  81. Also, if either file list window, and can type the 1st letter of the file,
  82. and it will move down the list for you.

  88.     The programmer cannot accept responsibility for any damages that may be
  89.     incurred by the use of this program.

  91.     Please read the following lines carefully, before using this software. Should 
  92.     you disagree with the following, then you are not allowed to use this program. 
  93.     You MUST then delete it and never use it.

  95.     You have the right to test this program for the period of one month. You are 
  96.     allowed to copy this Shareware-version (and ONLY the Shareware version) and give
  97.     it to any other person, as long as it is not modified in any way. Under modifi-
  98.     cations we understand the changing, adding or removing of any files of this 
  99.     package without the author's written permission. You are NOT allowed to pack
  100.     this program together with a commercial program or a book. Shareware dealers are
  101.     allowed to sell the Shareware version for a small fee (US $5). You are
  102.     encouraged to put this program on as many BBS systems as possible.

  112.     QNDFM95 is neither freeware nor public domain. It is shareware. A use after 
  113.     the 30 day trial period requires registration. The registration fee only 
  114.     costs $10.00 US dollars.
